As fourteen year olds we did cross country running (of all things). He'd remember competing in the cross country sprints up at Wudinna. Later on, as young entreprenuers, we made some good money doing boundary umpiring for the B and A grade football in Lincoln. Following that, it was the battle between who had the fastest car (something that at the time, all 17 year olds wanted to prove). He had a grumbling LH Torana, and i had a Toyota Celica hatchback with a supercharged 2 litre. Darren, you were a friend when i needed one, and im glad we had the time together. I haven't seen you in 10 years, but i was very moved to hear that you had passed, and my thoughts are with you and your mum, dad and sister. Rest in peace mate. Love Tod Pedler. He was a fantastic fun loving person with a huge heart. He was the most energetic person I have ever known. I was so happy to hear that he had found true love and someone he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. She is a very lucky lady. My heart goes out to her in this time of great tragedy. Also I would like to express my condolences to Darren's family. I know how much he adored you all. I have not been in contact with Mav for a few years now. Things change and people move on but he will always have a special place deep within my heart. I will always remember the wonderful times we had together. If possible could someone please contact me on the above email address and tell me what happened to him? I only know he passed away from the obituaries in the newspaper. I rang Derren's parents and talked about Derren's life and they are in a shock and finding difficult to believe what is happened. Raj thanks for aknowledging Derren's mentoring role during your childhood.
